Templates Based CMS
A template based CMS allows for the maximum flexibility in site design, while maintaining the ability for the casual computer user to maintain the site on a day-to-day basis. 1) File Extension
Websy Templates are stored in the extension .tpl. template filenames must be in lowercase and you can use any number of templates in your website and you can use each template / layout in each page without any restrictions.
Along with your all templates, you must need to upload a homepage template in the name home.tpl. This template only used in homepage, and if you needed you can reuse this home.tpl to any other pages.
2) Websy Tags
Websy tags are template keywords used to replace the keywords in template to exact content you specified in websy admin panel and displays in the visitor browser. Most of the websy tags are in uppercase and only few are mixed with uppercase and lowercase.
Basically template files does not contains the website content. You need to replace each content sections, menu areas, copyright notices, page titles, etc to corresponding websy tags.
